The Underground Sky™
No one knows why, when, or how, but sadly most adults lose their imagination as they grow up. Their senses are exhausted from working endless hours, with endless rules and they quickly forget their dreams. They fall victim to the corporate trap where survival is based on monetary gain.
Even with this sad transition, adults had never frowned upon creativity. In fact, imagination was remembered fondly and encouraged among children. Involving themselves in child’s play allowed an adult’s mind to be temporarily jogged with past adventures, and for a fraction of a second, they were believers again.
But, what happens when adults lose sight of the joys of imagination and the inspirational power of dreams? What happens when those in control decide that creativity is reckless, frustrating nonsense that has no place in society?
Imagination is banished and a new government is formed: the Anti-Imagination Act.
The Anti-Imagination Act (A.I.A.) is a new worldwide government who hates creativity. Since their takeover, the A.I.A. developed a constitution meant to exterminate imagination. The new regime believes that imagination is a waste of time and they have directed all of their efforts into enforcing the new laws on all living beings, from insects to humans. It is their hope that its eradication will allow the world to flourish with generations more focused on systematic government standards, order, testing and quantifiable results.
